Have you been dieting and exercising incessantly but are still not seeing the results you are hoping for? That may be because you have stubborn areas of fat that are exceptionally hard to get rid of.
In these situations, CoolSculpting® may be just the solution you have been looking for. CoolSculpting® is a non-invasive and effective way to eliminate that stubborn body fat for good. Both men and women love it because it is cost-effective, shows great results, and requires no downtime.
How Does It Work?
CoolSculpting® works by freezing the fat cells in the treated area, also known as cryolipolysis. Once those fat cells are frozen and killed off in the process, your body naturally disposes of them and they are gone for good. This means that your results should last indefinitely.
However, it’s important to remember that if you gain weight following the procedure, you may also gain weight in the treated areas as well in the form of new fat cells. One of the most touted benefits to CoolSculpting® is that it is much less invasive and dangerous than traditional fat removal options, like liposuction.
What to Expect
First, you’ll meet and speak with one of our trained medical professionals to determine if you are an ideal candidate for treatment. During this consultation, you’ll discuss which area or areas of the body you would like to treat, what your ideal goals are, and ask any questions you may have regarding the procedure. If you are eligible and seek to move forward, we will discuss a treatment plan and begin the process!
Before the procedure, photographs may be taken to monitor your progress. Next, our provider will mark off the area to be treated, then apply a gel pad to create a barrier between the applicator and your skin. The applicators will be placed on those desired areas of the body, and treatment will begin.
While you may feel intense cold and vacuum-like pressure, many of our patients do not find the treatment painful at all. In fact, after about 10 minutes or so, the area should become numb. While treatments vary per person, most treatment cycles last between 1-3 hours on average. Most patients take advantage of this time to relax, read a book, or catch up on a TV series. After the session has ended, patients can resume their normal activities.
Depending on the individual and areas in need of treatment, you may need more or fewer treatments. Treating larger areas of the body may also require more treatments than smaller areas of the body.
